NSW Animal Rescue Inc is a not-for-profit animal rescue organization based in
the Sydney (Australia) Metropolitan Area.
The aim of NSW Animal Rescue is to reduce the number of abandoned pets put to
death each year in pounds and shelters.
Every month in NSW 3,000 pets are euthanised (report by Department of Local
Government May 2002), that is 1 pet put down every 15 minutes!!.
NSW Animal Rescue Inc saves animals from certain death in pounds and shelters
around Sydney.
Abandoned and stray animals are surrendered to our facility.
Once they arrive, the animals are assessed, vet checked, washed and groomed,
wormed, (heart worm tested if over 6 mths old), vaccinated and de-sexed, and
micro-chipped.
These animals are then placed in the care of our dedicated volunteers until
we find loving, caring people who can adopt them.
