A2773190 Jake

Adopt at http://pasadenahumane.org - Just look at those soulful puppy eyes! Six month old Jake came to the shelter as a stray and needs a loving home. Jake is on the shy side and needs someone who will help build his confidence. He can live with cats and should be okay in a home with a friendly, easy going dog. Do you have room in your heart and home for young Jake?

Dixie - Austin Pets Alive!

Dixie is an old soul whose calm and mellow nature shows through her eyes when you see her. Her adoption counselor raves about her sweet and affectionate nature and how she leans against your leg looking for a friendly pat.

Dixie is an active dog who loves to hike, chase squirrels and even climb trees! She is good with dogs, adults and children. She loves to have company and would thoroughly enjoy having another doggie friend to live with! Please visit adopt@austinpetsalive.org to learn more about Dixie.

Dimples the Basset Hound pup is available for adoption at Hearts United for Animals www.hua.org.

Dimples had a rough start as a pup. She came to us emaciated, full of worms and unable to use her back legs. Dimples has now doubled in size and although she has a cerebral issue that causes her to lose control of her back legs sometimes she is doing great. Our vet says she is highly adoptable and will make a wonderful pet. As she continues to grow and gain strength the issue with motor control can barely be noticed. She is a fun, gorgeous, lively little girl.

ADOPT AN EVIDENCE DOG! Female Toy Fox Terrier- Trixie does tricks!

Trixie kept getting promises from people who committed to come and get her out of the shelter- she had run out of time, and she was about to be put to sleep. Finally me and my girlfriend decided to take on the responsibility of finding her a permanent home or dependable reliable foster mom or dad :) She is no longer locked up for people to make promises to her: Trixie is free, and she is having so much fun! Trixie is scheduled for a groomer and she will be even cuter once she has her special bath and beauty parlor appointment :) Trixie is the last of the little evidence dogs from a court case, and she would make an incredible loving companion. Trixie is in southern CA. For more info: SweetHD@aol.com

Blind/Deaf Shelter Dogs: GA, Monticello: "Beau", Blind Senior Bloodhound

Beau is about 10 years old, has dry eye, and is blind. He is such a good boy though. Please don't let this stop someone from giving this old guy a good home for the rest of his life. He is healthy otherwise. He eats well. He is very quiet. Loves attention. Never messes up his kennel. He was found laying by a dumpster and the people thought he was about to die

Blind/Deaf Shelter Dogs: CA, Los Angeles: "Dulce", Blind Golden Retriever

Blind/Deaf Shelter Dogs: CA, Los Angeles: "Dulce", Blind Golden Retriever

This 6 year old Golden Retriever was left heavily pregnant and tied outside of a vet's office in Tijuana last January. She seemed to have been used for consistent breeding and the vet's office believed she was dumped because she was losing her eyesight, and so her usefulness, due to cataracts. The vet's office cared for her through the end of the pregnancy and then placed her 9 surviving puppies in adoptive homes once they were 8 weeks old. Momma was left behind and has been living on a small patio ever since, patiently waiting and hoping for a home of her own.
