Hope was in dire straits, being bred over and over, chained, then surrendered to a shelter where she was caged for months. Hope's time ran out so Holly with DDB rushed to get her into a foster home.
We were told by the shelter staff that Hope got along great with other dogs, only to find out that once she arrived at her foster home, she was not too friendly with the other dogs there.
So Hope is currently in boarding and we only have funding for 8 more days and we must find her a place to go. We are being told by the boarding facility that she seems to only show animal aggression when on a leash. We she is in a run, she pays no mind to the other dogs.
As you can see, Hope needs medical care. We need to have her spayed, heart worm tested, vaccinated, de-wormed, and chipped.
The wounds you see on Hope are self inflicted as we were told by the shelter staff, she was going 'kennel crazy'.
We do not know what Hope's future holds so we are asking for advice and help from the animal advocacy community.
Hope needs to be rehabilitated and treated for her animal aggression. We need either a foster who has experience with dogs like Hope or suggestions for in-house rehabilitation facilities. We can transport!
