Zeb is so fabulous. He is HUGE, a big teddy bear of a boy. Zeb is completely blind but he gets around wonderfully. He has adjusted to his handicap and navigates like nobodies business! He is so very awesome.

Zeb is neutered and really fabulous. When you talk to him the tail goes non stop and he follows your voice bobbing his head back and forth to feel his way along walls, furniture, etc.

He is such an amazing dog I could not let him die here without a fight. His owner was contacted. He said he would come in and pay the eutho fee, he does not want him back. That's all this living souls life is worth?

I am sickened.

Please help save him.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Pet Pardons organization put out a special bulletin Wednesday asking the public for their help in finding a home for a 1 and a half-year-old Chow Chow Jindo Mix named Champ who has only two days left before being put down and was abandoned in the woods for weeks with over 100 other dogs before being saved by rescue workers in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I spoke with the vet. Honey Bee is doing good. They have removed the Cable. She is on antibiotics, pain meds & They are doing HydroTherapy on her wound daily. She will stay with them to be monitored and continue the Hydrotherapy thru the weekend..I will update again this afternoon. Please Share!

A PUPPY CALLED "SHIVER"

This little puppy was found at the side of a road by a kind delivery driver, who took the puppy to the government dog pound. The pound had no medicine to treat the pup, so one of the pound staff members asked the driver to take the puppy to Soi Dog. She knew Soi Dog would do all they could to save the puppy's life. Shiver is in intensive care & we need your help. 

She's called "Shiver" because she's always shivering. She's skin & bone & has no hair, so she's cold. Shiver's now in our Intensive Care Puppy Program & wears a little sweater to keep her warm.

LA SITUATION EN GUADELOUPE

Les lois pour la protection des animaux sont loin d'être parfaites, mais nous vous laissons imaginer ce que ça peut donner lorsque ces lois ne sont même pas appliquées. 

Les chiens

Il est difficile de chiffrer la misère et pourtant voici de quoi vous édifier: 65% des chiens attachés avec une longueur de chaîne de 2,30m (la loi dit 3,50m minimum) et JAMAIS détachés, espérance de vie de 2 à 3 ans (11 ans en métropole); chiots et chiens jetés à la décharge et qui renforcent le nombre des chiens errants quand ils survivent, chiens empoisonnés quand ils deviennent encombrants. 

Les chats

Les chats sont écrasés, empoisonnés, attachés, et quelquefois mangés... 
Un chat, c'est généralement RIEN. Ca vit, ça meure, ça disparait. Quand on n'a plus de chat, on reprend un chaton et on recommence. 

Les autres animaux

Même ceux dits "de rapport" ne sont souvent pas mieux traités en Guadeloupe.

Nous privilégions toujours les adoptions sur place, mais sans refuge, il ne nous est pas facile de garder les animaux longtemps en famille d'accueil, les nouveaux sortis de la misère, poussant les autres vers une solution.

Les animaux sont parfois adoptés avant leur départ de Guadeloupe, mais nous ne faisons pas d'adoptions directes. Nous tenons à ce que l'adoption passe par une association de protection animale ou par un refuge pour assurer le suivi.

Les conditions d'adoption se font au cas par cas, en fonction des soins engagés, de la stérilisation de l'animal déjà ou non réalisée, des vaccins effectués et éventuellement des frais de voyage

Sunday fait partie du groupe des 4 galgos trouvés lourdement accidentés. Ils étaient à l’agonie sur la route après avoir été heurtés par un véhicule.

A cette occasion Galgos Ethique Europe rappelle les chiffres communiqués par la Direction Générale du Trafic Routier en Espagne :
” 300.000 animaux de compagnie abandonnés meurent accidentés sur les routes d’Espagne”.

Sur ces 4 galgos, Goku n’a pas survécu, Sunday, Salvi et Sirena se battent pour s’en sortir. Tous trois et tout particulièrement Sunday aujourd’hui ont besoin de vos clics pour bénéficier des soins indispensables à leur permettre d’être adoptés par des personnes enfin responsables. En attendant, ils ont la chance d’être pris en charge par El Refugio Escuela qui est un refuge espagnol sérieux qui traite souvent les cas les plus désespérés.

Sunday au dernières nouvelles, bien que fracturée et passée au bloc opératoire pour une fracture de hanche, récupère bien car c’est une galga jeune et forte.

This dog was seriously injured. Without us she had no chance of recovery. Now she is admitted to the clinic where investigations have found broken legs and a ruptured diaphragm. Molly is a 16-YEAR-OLD Lab that was dumped in the shelter by her owner because she is too old.

‎****VERY URGENT**** We need to rally the troops for another heartbreaking senior. This is Molly - she is a 16-YEAR-OLD Lab that was dumped in the shelter by her owner because she is too old. WTF? She is under the care of the shelter vet and is receiving rimadyl for arthritis. As of now there are no other health notes. Molly's review date is Fri., July 15. Please don't make her stay in the shelter that long - we have to get her out ASAP. We worked miracles for Candy (14-y-o Shep that was adopted from Baldwin Park today) - let's do the same for Molly. Her family betrayed her when she needed them the most. We have to show her that she will be loved and cherished until the end. Won't someone please love her, feed her, care for her, and find a warm, sunny spot and a soft bed for her so she can relax and enjoy the rest of her life?

DDB recently purchased Michael Vicks former property in VA, where he ran his Bad Newz Pitt Bull Kennel and illegally fought his dogs. DDB has turned the property into their GOOD NEWZ REHAB CENTER!

Nashville DDB is not only happy to see Buddy go to such an amazing wonderful place to live out his life, but very proud that one of our dogs is the 1st to make its way to our new rehab center!

This Chip-In is to raise the funds needed for Buddy's medical care. He is HW positive and will need continued vetting for multiple infections that he is fighting. We are also arranging transportation for him from TN to VA.

A new vehicle, especially with wheelchair assist, could not only help us by being dependable and lower on gas mileage but also help us get heavier injured animals into the vehicle without harming them, or ourselves. We would also have the opportunity to bring more animals out into the community and to children's facilities... Independence is almost here for a poor little Yorkie living in filth and squalor in a basement full of urine, feces, and filth.  We just got word about this suffering baby, and do not know age/sex/temperament/condition, so we are looking for someone local, experienced with traumatized dogs, who can help this dog ASAP!

Once we have more information we will share it, but for right now we ask that you remember that there is a little dog living in hell who needs out.  Yorkies are small dogs who need and crave affection, attention, and physical contact.  Who can open their home to a dog who has lived in darkness and experienced deep despair and give him/her love, light, and the joy that is so lacking and so deserved? Yorkies are little and don't take up much space (other than in your heart)! ATPAR will provide vetting and will help any way possible!

Cette chienne de La Réunion nous est présentée par une nouvelle association partenaire d’Actuanimaux que nous saluons ici : l’Association APPAR : Agir Pour Protéger les Animaux Réunionnais.

Cayenne est une chienne au passé douloureux. Elle a été récupérée dans un bien triste état : dévorée par la gale, sa peau n’était plus qu’une croûte sans poils accompagnée de plaies purulentes à force de se gratter. Cachectique, elle survivait dans la rue dans un petit village créole où l’on s’intéresse peu aux chiens encore moins aux galeux et aux malades..

Cette petite chienne d’environ 2 ans a été recueillie par une de nos bénévoles dont le coeur sensible n’a pas pu résister longtemps en voyant cette “croûte” vivante.

Cayenne est adoptable sur l’île de la Réunion et en région parisienne (grâce à des relais en Ile de France).
