Zoo de Tripoli | ACTU Animaux

Tripoli : les animaux du zoo dans la tourmente.

Après avoir aidé le zoo de Tunis et les animaux d’Egypte, notre partenaire IFAW a dû envoyer une aide d’urgence aux animaux rescapés du zoo de Tripoli afin de contribuer à la survie de ces animaux victimes collatérales des affrontements en Libye.

“La situation reste instable en Libye mais nous faisons tout ce qui est en notre pouvoir pour aider les animaux pris au piège de cette crise” a déclaré le Dr. Ian Robinson, Directeur des opérations de secours d’urgence d’IFAW. “L’arrivée de cette première aide à Tripoli est synonyme d’espoir et nous continuons à travailler dur pour assurer un soutien à long terme aux animaux.”

Il manque de la nourriture, des médicaments vétérinaires, de l’eau dans une période de fortes chaleurs.
Plus d’un millier d’animaux sont concernés (lions, hyènes, hippopotames, rennes, singes …)
Les nourrir reprèsente chaque jour 1500 euros.

“Nous remercions sincèrement IFAW pour son intérêt et son soutien au zoo de Tripoli en cette période de grande nécessité” a déclaré le Dr.Abdel Fattah Husin, Directeur du zoo de Tripoli.”

IFAW a sollicité l’aide d’Actuanimaux pour combler la grande détresse des animaux de Tripoli.

Manu Rescued off Streets of Romania, needs a Forever Home

 

 

Manu was Rescued off the Streets of Romania by our Activist Friend, "Magda Radu". He recieved much needed surgery (thanks to your generous Donations), and is now recovering at "Giurgiu's Shelter" in Bucharest, Romania. 

Manu is trying to get used to his new situation, now that he's blind :( Once he's better, Magda is hoping to find him an Adopter! Hopefully in the United States, Canada, or western Europe! Thank you.

Mike Pravek (Special Needs K9) has generously offered to pay $1000 towards this little boy's Airline ticket to his Forever Home! Won't you give this Blind Romanian Boy a chance at a different life? One that is outside of a Romanian SHelter? Thank you.

‎100 DOGS DUMPED IN THE EVERGLADES BY THEIR OWNERS…HELP NEEDED NOW! DOGS STARVING AND BEING HIT BY CARS!

People have been abandoning dogs in the Homestead/Everglades areas for a few months now. Dogs are starving and getting hit by cars. Some dogs are having puppies and the puppies aren’t there a day later, probably being eaten by something. Volunteers have been gathering donations of food, and flea and tick preventatives to keep the homeless dogs as comfortable as possible until foster/adoptive homes can be found. Several volunteers gather each day at feed stations that have been set up in the areas. Monetary donations are also being collected so that when a home is found, the dog being pulled from the street can receive full veterinary care.

What these dogs need most are: 
Foster/Adoptive homes-This is crucial. Without homes there is no choice but leave them on the streets. Transport can always be arranged to areas further north or south (West Palm Beach, Naples, the Keys, etc.). I can't stress enough how important available homes are to this rescue mission. 
Monetary Donations-Dogs must be fully vetted before going to a home so funds have to be in place. Discounted (or donated) vet services would also be invaluable. 

Food-Large quantities of food are needed to properly feed such a large amount of dogs (and most are medium-large sized dogs). There is a drop off location set up for the Broward area in Deerfield Beach. But drop offs/pick ups are also being arranged by volunteers in the Miami Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties.

Flea and Tick Preventatives-An absolute must to keep these dogs as healthy as possible while outdoors. 
Other items that are needed are: Large harnesses, leashes, crates, towels, blankets, bug spray, bowls, Benadryl, treats. 
Again, foster homes, monetary donations, and food are crucial.

« Plein d’étonnement, de tristesse mais aussi d’incompréhension, Nibo, la tête baissée regarde le sol, s’interrogeant probablement sur la douleur terrible qui lui vient de sa patte. Dans une attitude de résignation face à cette situation qui lui échappe, Nibo semble ne rien attendre, abasourdi.

Son propriétaire nous avait contactés peu de temps après l’accident. Il était allé à la chasse avec Nibo.
Ce jour-là, en pleine Brousse, il entend brusquement des aboiements, du bruit ; se retournant rapidement il aperçoit un cochon sauvage tout près qui commence à le charger. Le tir est instinctif, mais l’homme entend les hurlements de son chien !

Le malheureux Nibo, masqué par les broussailles, était sur la trajectoire de la balle qui avait atteint le cochon sauvage. Nibo a été blessé à la patte avant-droite mais il a sauvé son maître !

Granitée | ACTU Animaux

Nous initions ce partenariat avec Granitée, une pauvre petite misère dans un état lamentable, comme l’association Sauvade en récupère beaucoup ! Sauvade est une association dédiée au sauvetage et à l’adoption en métropole de chats et de chiens venant de la Réunion où nous savons que la condition des animaux est particulièrement dramatique.

Seule, errante, s’asseyant sur le paillasson, elle a eu dans son malheur la chance d’être prise en charge par des humains compatissants : elle était squelettique, environ 6kg, avait la peau creusée par la gale et un gros doute au niveau de ses oreilles : morsures de chiens ? Mais une curieuse symétrie faisait aussi craindre une découpe volontaire …

Ajoutons à cela un pic de fièvre et des vomissements ; le pronostic la concernant était incertain. La prise de sang envoyée pour analyse au laboratoire en métropole révèle que la pauvre petite est atteinte de la maladie de Carré !
Heureusement dans ce tableau inquiétant, Granitée se bat bien et l’on peut espérer qu’étant une adulte elle s’en sorte sans séquelles.

Granitée est très sociable avec les gens, les chiens, mais là, elle ne peut rencontrer que les chiens vaccinés.
Pour l’instant, elle n’est pas encore adoptable, elle le sera quand elle aura évacué le virus de la Carré, après contrôle dans un mois.

Vos clics vont permettre de soigner Granitée, de la vacciner, de la stériliser, de l’identifier, de la rendre adoptable en métropole où sa vie de maltraitance et de malheur pourra être vite oubliée dans un foyer chaleureux.

10 babies in hell and mother- Turkey

Today we paid a surprise visit to a shelter here and we witnessed atrocious conditions. 
There are 10 babies and their mother that are in particular danger. Their mother is a setter and is very very weak. We need to get them all out of there inmediately but we can only do that if we know we will be able to send them to homes afterwards. 
We need fosters and adoptants... incredible people willing to be part of a great rescue.

Please Save a Death Row Dog .......... right here, right now

We rescue dogs from Death Row at animal control and from uncaring owners headed to animal control to dump their dogs. The owner-surrendered dogs are subject to immediate euthanization at animal control, as there is no required "hold" time.   Most of these dogs have been neglected, all need veterinary care, grooming and love. We are the safety net for these death row dogs.  We are their last option.  

Goldie needs our help

Meet GOLDIE!!! The daughter of my school's secretary found this very sweet and neglected cocker spaniel in the Wekiva area on Monday. She is between 7 and 8 years old and she is being treated her for fleas, worms, and a very bad yeast infection. She also has cataracts and can see a little. Goldie is going to get a second chance at life with Poodle and Pooch Rescue as MY foster dog. Anything you can donate towards her care would be greatly appreciated at www.poodleandpoochrescue.org.

Bianco | ACTU Animaux

L’association “SOS Animaux de compagnie” fait à nouveau appel à Actuanimaux.

Elle vous présente Bianco, petit mâle de 2 ans, gentil, très doux ; il errait dans les rues mais avait du mal à marcher.

Bianco est atteint de dirofilariose du chien, maladie transmise par un moustique commun, le culex pipiens ; cette maladie est aussi appelée “maladie des vers du coeur”. Les piqûres provoquent de fortes démangeaisons, et même des allergies. Le ver se loge dans les ventricules du coeur et le traitement est extrêmement difficile. Bianco a aussi des otites sévères et une maladie de peau qui doit être traitée très vite.

Le traitement par injection est coûteux ; vos clics vont aider l’association à nous rendre “un Bianco tout neuf”.

Il pourra alors être adopté, et pourquoi pas en métropole ?

Xena | ACTU Animaux

La chienne Xena vivait détenue sur un balcon prison jusqu’en mai dernier, date à laquelle nous avons pu la libérer.

Notre première démarche, a été de la promener pour lui permettre de se dégourdir les pattes et de faire ses besoins.
Elle était folle de joie et nous très émues.

Xena est âgée de 12 ans, très douce et vraiment belle malgré son oeil crevé ( (on lui avait fait éclater un pétard près du museau !)
Elle attend avec beaucoup d’impatience et d’espoir sa nouvelle famille qui saura lui donner l’amour dont elle a tant besoin.

Actuellement, Xena est dans une pension située dans le Var afin de lui éviter le stress supplémentaire de la vie en refuge.
D’ailleurs, vu son âge, l’état de faiblesse dans lequel elle était, et sa race, autrement, elle aurait eu peu de chances de survie….

Daisy has been waiting for 2 mos for someone to pick her up!!

Daisy in desperate need of rescue help!! Please help us raise funds to try to capture this elusive scared beautiful girl who looks at you with her eyes of honey and whimpers to you "please help me" Daisy was dumped in an industrial area by someone in a pickup truck. When she hears the sound of a specific vehicle she rums to the road to look waiting heartbroken and confused. She has been waiting now for 2 months!! Her coat is horrible. She lays in mud to keep her cool in the 100 degree heat of south Florida. She has a small team of dedicated people trying to save her but she is scared!. Elana Mavros of Pets in Distress has unconditionally been there to support Kelly Lecain, Daisy's savior and advocate. They have started her on some meds for fleas and ticks that can be put in her food and will start her on some antibiotics for her skin but not knowing what other medical help she will need could be costly. She has a chance of being HW+ and with the fly's around her we hope they are not burrowing into her skin to lay eggs and then deal with maggots. The possibilities are endless with a dog on the streets for this long.If she is not caught this week by a trained animal behaviorist and catch pole expert then we may need to fly in someone from LA more experienced in this then we are! POOR BAIT DOG ASHA WAS TORN TO SHREADS, SHE IS NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Poor Asha's life was saved, and she is fighting so hard to make it all worthwhile. Please help her in her fight: Asha is yet another victim of animal abuse here in Baltimore. Asha was in dire straights when she came into BARCS. She had to have emergency surgery just to stabilize her enough to transport to the vet. She is under a year old and covered in bite wounds and injuries. She has been at a local vet getting the such needed care she deserves. Since she was found as a stray with such severe bite wounds, a 6 month quarantine had to be placed on her. Meaning, she has to stay in solitary confinement at the vet for 6 months!! Asha has shown she is strong and has a great will to live. Her body had maggots crawling in her open wounds, bites and cuts to almost every inch of her body. Drains have been put in some places as well. She is underweight but has been eating well in the last week or so. She enjoys her toys. We are not able to have her around other dogs, cats or many people so we do not know her temperament yet. She will not be up for foster or adoption for 6 month but will need a home then :) Thank you so much for your help. 5 pits starving to death in Ga. can your rescue take just 1???

 

Update! In boarding. Out of funds! Not one has a rescue!

Moreland, Ga . There are 5 pit bulls that are living in makeshift dog houses on chains. They had belonged to the property owners grandson who got shot and is paralyzed and no longer able to care for them. The grandfather cannot afford to care for them, we have brought them some food and tried to get local rescues to take them but have not had any success, everyone has all that they can take care of. There are 3 males and 2 females, they all look good, but the grandfather cannot afford to care for them and would like to see them gone. The house that the people live in is in rough shape, they have blue vinyl tarps covering the roof because they can't afford to have it fixed, they live way out in the woods on 50 acres. There are 2 blue males and one brown with a blk mask.

There is a blue female who is the mother of the brown male and one of the blues. The other female is a fawn colored. They are all friendly, if you can help in any way it would be appreciated, we live in a rural area and the County Animal Control does not take owned animals. Ayer tuvimos que cogerla porque teníamos acogida para Dexter y cuando nunca se había dejado ni tocar, basta con mirar las fotos, de pronto ayer cuando vió que nos llevabamos a su amigo se acercó moviéndome la cola y me dió lametones, SUPLICANDO QUE NO LA DEJARAMOS SOLA, QUE NO LE QUITASEMOS A SU AMIGO Y COMPAÑERO... no tuve corazón para dejarla allí y la cogí a sabiendas de que no tenía nada para ella, no tenemos más dinero para pagar resis ni nada, hemos pagado muchos envíos este mes de todos los que hemos conseguido sacar de las calles antes que la perrera, así que contacté con Ana Vigo una chica que conozco y le suplique que me la tuviera temporalmente, el problema es que la chica se va de viaje en octubre!!! por favor ayudadme a encontrarle un hogar... Es una labradora pequeñita, está muy delgada y pesa 18kg, de unos 2 años aproximadamente. Una vez que tiene confianza es muy muy buena y cariñosa...se lleva bien con gatos...

Y aquí está Debra, fiel compañera de Dexter, el otro perrito blanco y marrón que estamos difundiendo.... Es muy muy desconfiada, el problema va a ser cogerla, lleva más de 3 meses en la calle, y cada vez más deteriorada, las fotos con"-1" son las primeras que le hicimos hará hace 3 meses, y las -2 son las últimas de hace una semana...

Es una labradora jóven de 2 o 3 años.

Está en los huesos, y no tenemos nada para ella, alguien ofrece algo??? como véis estamos a tope, y todo lo vamos pagando nosotras (Indefensos Peludos: que somos tan solo tres particulares luchando por los que nos vamos encontrando), los envíos, las analíticas, las vacunas... y no damos para más....

AYUDA DE CUALQUIER TIPO POR FAVOR!! Difusión, acogida, madrinas, padrinos, o adopción!!!

Charo | ACTU Animaux

Charo a 4 mois, son destin était de croupir dans une perrera espagnole, sans espoir d’avenir.

Lévrier du Sud, en partenariat avec l’association espagnole de Baeza, a décidé de faire sortir Charo de la perrera car il était prévu de l’euthanasier le 3 septembre prochain !

Charo a donc un peu plus de chance que ses compagnons d’infortune mais cette chance il faut l’aider de nos clics, pour financer les frais de sortie de la perrera, les vaccins, l’identification et les frais de la pension où elle va être en garde pendant un mois jusqu’au départ pour la France.

Mobilisons-nous pour aider ce bébé à oublier un triste début dans la vie et lui permettre d’être adoptée.
